The Galeria de Cagsawa is located along the way to the Patio de Cagsawa.

The Cagsawa Ruins was built to replace the church that was built during 1636 and was burned by the Dutch pirates. It was in 1724 when the Franciscan friars, headed by Fray Francisco Blanco, erected the Cagsawa church. However, on February 1, 1814, the greatest eruption of the Mayon Volcano caused the town to be buried by the pyroclastic flows and lahar along with the 1,200 peopleliving near the stone church. The Cagsawa church’s belfry serves as the reminder of the historic catastrophe that had happened in Albay. The catastrophe that brought beauty and madness to the eyes of the world.
